Sunrise
Nothing like waking up at 3 in the morning for a job only to get delayed for 3 hours due to fog. But at least I got to watch the sunrise over the lake. Not the greatest picture ever but you know it was early.
Rotten Shoes
I have decided to start a new series inspired by my rotten food series, called rotten shoes. This is the start of it so feed back would be appreciated. There is just something beautiful about a pair of shoes that has been worn for years and years. Unfortunately I no longer have access to the nice equipment like 4×5 cameras, leaf digital backs, and profoto lighting gear, but I’ll make do with what I got.
Black is the New Green
Playing with the black and white settings in camera raw. Although I don’t think I have the hang of it yet, I have been getting into the habit of doing most of my editing in Camera Raw. Even though the layer adjustment in Photoshop works the same way, I find Raw easier, saves time, and storage space. One of the first things I do to an image is rename them, add my info and convert them to dngs. The dngs allow me to non-destructively save my images and it the most universal raw file out there.
Apples to apples
If you have never played apples to apples before, I would suggest doing so. Nothing better than a game of words, good friends, and a camera. It always makes the night more interesting.
